W1AW/Ø Iowa

Thank you for showing interest in this activity celebrating 250 years of the USA. This is a rare opportunity to operate from your home station and be on the good end of a pile up!

To operate as W1AW/Ø you need to register and sign up for a time slot. Each reservation is for 2 hours. You can sign up for multiple time slots, but at the end of your time, you MUST cease operations, as another station will begin to operate. Sign up is first come, first served. CW is encouraged for those who are interested.

Register and Reserve a Time/Mode slot.

There is a bit of a process to reserve a time.

1. REGISTER
Name, callsign, etc. This is required before you can reserve a time slot.

This process submits your request to the administrator. When you are approved, you will receive an email notification. Please don’t expect an immediate reply as being admin is a voluntary position. Please allow 24 hours.

2. After your registration is approved:

Reserve a Time to Operate There is a button for this.

3. When you are approved, go to the web page and select the desired event. In this case either the 1^st Iowa or the 2^nd Iowa event.

4. Select the DATE you want to operate (button at the top of the page)

5. Select the TIME and MODE you want to operate. Note time is GMT. Enter your callsign.
The table cell will show your callsign when you are given the time slot.

LOGGING

Use a logger that can output an ADIF format file. Be sure to provide all the necessary information in the header of the file.
